As has become a tradition, the official T-shirt for the 2017 edition of the Entel Marathon of Santiago was presented today, in a ceremony that included the presence of the athlete Cristián Valenzuela, gold medalist at the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
This year’s T-shirt is green and features ClimaLite technology, which helps eliminate sweat and allows athletes to stay dry while running. In addition, all seams are on the outside of the T-shirt, which will minimize rubbing against the skin and prevent contact irritation for the 30,000 participants who will take part in the race on Sunday, April 2.
“We are happy because once again our city will experience an unforgettable day. On April 2, 30,000 athletes will color the streets of Santiago, giving life and color to places where most of the year is dominated by cement. It will be a day like no other, because we will turn to the streets and take over their corners, monuments and history, with the joy always brought about by gathering around sport and healthy living,” said Francisca Aguirre, Executive Director of eMDS.
“The launch of the Entel Marathon of Santiago T-shirt is the last major milestone before the most important race in the country. Withlessthan a month to go, we hope to see the 30,000 participants color the streets of Santiago green, so that they can connect with the city and the sport,” said Carlos Rodríguez, Entel’s Innovation Manager.
The T-shirt will be given to the 30,000 athletes registered between March 30 and April 1 at the “Expo Running”, where all runners will also be able to pick up their numbers and kits. Likewise, and as in 2014, 2015 and 2016, the T-shirt for men and women running the 42K will be sleeveless.
