The best journalistic works that promote the development of sustainability in its three fundamental pillars; social, economic and environmental, may participate and be recognized in the ninth version of Entel’s PESU award, which opened its applications today.
The contest is open to all journalists in the country who have published between October 2016 and September 2017, any work related to actions that contribute to the construction of a deep and rooted idea of sustainability, in written press formats chronicle and report, television chronicle and report and radio, as well as written press in Peru.
PESU seeks to recognize the research and development of current, novel, relevant, well-documented and narrative quality stories that promote the relationship between the social, economic and environmental spheres to generate actions in pursuit of sustainability.
“Sustainability is one of Entel’s pillars, as we are convinced that it is the best way to build a more and better connected world. Therefore, this award seeks to recognize those who, thanks to the power of the media, help to disseminate content to achieve this target”, explains Manuel Araya, Entel’s Manager of Regulation and Corporate Affairs.
The jury of the current competition is composed of Chilean and Italian journalists, including the winner of the National Journalism Award 2011, Sergio Campos; journalist and television host, Amaro Gómez-Pablos; the director of the school of journalism of the Catholic University of Milan, Marco Lombardi; the director of the newspapers of the Catholic University of Milan, Matteo Scanni; and the Italian journalist and sustainability expert, Gianluca Schinaia.
