Entel and Fundación Chile reward innovation:

The third edition of “Inventing the Future” was aimed at startups with high growth potential and solutions focused on digital services.

Getback and Schaman, the winning startups of this edition, will have the opportunity to develop a pilot of their innovation with Entel, and also access to various benefits managed from the company’s Business market.

The objective of the Demo Day of the third edition of the call “Inventing the Future” - an initiative promoted by Entel through its innovation management together with ChileGlobal Ventures, venture capital area of Fundación Chile - was to identify initiatives related to digital services that have highly technologically innovative solutions capable of satisfying the service and experience needs of consumers in the B2B and B2C market.

During the event, the 8 finalist startups presented their solutions in home technical service scheduling; digital management of product returns and exchanges; and digital management of requests and claims, of which two were the winners, before a jury composed of Entel executives.

These are Schaman, a company that developed a SaaS (Software as a Service) tool for diagnosis and automatic resolution of customer incidents, providing high levels of efficiency and satisfaction thanks to an approach based on the detection of the root cause of customer interaction; and Getback, which has a SaaS & BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) service that puts its knowledge and experience at the service of business partners to organize all the actors in the reverse logistics chain and is committed to increasing sales, customer loyalty, improving return margins and sustainability.

After the award ceremony, both companies agreed to the possibility of developing a pilot of their innovation with Entel, in addition to various benefits managed from the company’s Business market.

Carlos Rodríguez, Entel’s Innovation Manager, pointed out that “for our company, people are at the center, so improving their experience is essential. Likewise, we trust that working together with digital entrepreneurs will allow us to achieve substantial improvements in these areas to offer a better service, anticipate and adequately meet the needs of our customers.”.

The executive also highlights the work with Fundación Chile for the implementation of “Inventing the Future”, as it allows us to better connect with entrepreneurs, learn first-hand about their developments and integration options for large companies, and thus achieve greater reach and a benefit to the end customer.

Hernán Araneda, general manager of Fundación Chile, added that “initiatives such as ‘Inventing the Future’ are important components of a strategy that is committed to innovation with a view to the future, and that allow us to promote or articulate enabling and innovative ecosystems with an ethical perspective that impact sustainable productive development in Chile. At FCh we are happy with the long-term relationship that we have promoted and sustained with a leading technology and telecommunications company such as Entel, which has made innovation a strategic pillar in the development of its business, allowing it to evolve and deliver new and better experiences for its customers in Chile and Peru”.
