The last meeting of the year of the national tour of Entel Empresas Conectadas was held last night in Viña del Mar, with a large audience of the most prominent companies in the Valparaiso region.
The activity, which also passed through the cities of Concepción, Antofagasta and Santiago, included the participation of Eduardo Arriagada, former Communications Manager of the Central Bank and expert in issues related to new technologies and connectivity. He spoke about the challenges faced by companies today that need to be constantly connected.
“Companies need to know how to manage the technology that employees, customers and suppliers already have. They have to become experts in the needs that people have through technological devices. The challenge is to learn to adapt to the new changes that are taking place in terms of connectivity in order to increase efficiency and productivity,” said Arriagada, who also noted that there are currently around 20 million mobile phones in Chile.
The keynote speaker of the Entel Empresas Conectadas tour, who is an academic at the Pontificia Universidad Católica and author of books such as “Tsunami Digital” and “Sácale partido a tu teléfono” (in English “Take advantage of your phone”), took the opportunity to call on business leaders to embrace the use of technology and connectivity as a tool that can also make a positive contribution to improving efficiency and productivity in organizations.
Meanwhile, Central Zone Business Manager, David Díaz, emphasized the importance of being at the forefront of technological challenges.“Entel is the market leader among companies in the Fifth Region. With this in mind, the tour we are undertaking is in favor of understanding and responding to the main needs of our customers. Businesses today need to have the necessary tools to be more competitive, and this is our main concern.”
Entel Empresas, an integrated provider of communications and information technology services, is developing this cycle of meetings with the aim of deepening the understanding of issues that are of interest to local customers and, at the same time, useful for the management and development of their businesses.
