With two months to go, there are less than 5,000 places left for the Entel Maratón de Santiago 2018, the most important running race in Chile.
The competition has already filled more than 80% of its 30,000 quotas and, according to the organization’s projections, registrations should be sold out within the next few weeks.
“We are very proud of the participation of runners from the regions. They make a great effort to be part of this event that belongs to the whole country and that unites us around sport. The invitation is to register for those who have not yet done so and to take to the streets, not only those who run some of the 3 distances, but all citizens, both to encourage the runners and to enjoy the city without cars on the streets,” , said Francisca Aguirre, executive director of the Entel Maratón de Santiago.
Meanwhile, Carlos Rodríguez, Entel’s Innovation Manager, commented: “Being almost three months away from the race and that there are only 5,000 places left makes us very happy, as it speaks of people’s high interest in this competition. Therefore, we want to invite all those who have not yet registered not to miss the opportunity, so that they can connect with the city, sport and healthy living”.
Runners from all regions
The regions are increasingly present in the race. Last year they represented almost 23% of the total number of registered runners, with Biobío and Valparaíso being the two regions that contributed the most people to the competition, with 8.6% of the total.
