The program is a partnership between Entel and SernamEG:

• The initiative, which seeks to empower and help women creators of diverse enterprises to publicize and market their products, had its second version in the Metropolitan Region this year, with the incorporation of a new course aimed at exporting products.

For the second consecutive year, a group of women graduated from the Mujeres On program (in English Women On program), which aims to enhance the entrepreneurship of women heads of household in the Metropolitan Region, through training focused on increasing the sale of their products and making better use of technologies to expand, advertise and connect their businesses with their respective markets.

The Mujeres On program, which was created thanks to an unprecedented public-private partnership between the National Service for Women and Gender Equality and Entel, this year saw the participation of 55 women entrepreneurs, who acquired various tools in the areas of innovation, digital marketing, associativity and business management. In addition, this year the program, which was developed by the company B Emprediem, premiered a version focused specifically on business prospecting processes: with the support of Corfo Metropolitano, Mujeres On Exporta trained and brought 22 women entrepreneurs closer to the world of exports and the international market, through innovation and marketing tools and methodologies. This version of the program received the collaboration of ProChile and the National Chamber of Commerce.

In summary, more than 8 months of work were spent with craftswomen from different municipalities in the region; all of them founders of innovative, high quality and design enterprises, some with export potential. On December 14, at the Entel corporate building in Parque Titanium, the graduation ceremony was held to recognize and celebrate the talent of the 77 women in both programs, who share the same leitmotiv: they are hard-working heads of household and have had to overcome different obstacles to carry out their projects and turn them into sustainable businesses.

The Minister of Women and Gender Equality, Claudia Pascual, commented: “This public-private alliance allows us to see that collaborative work helps to achieve great results. We are proud of what we have seen this morning, 77 women who with perseverance and drive have managed to create their own businesses, building strong support networks, making it clear that there are no unattainable challenges. I believe that everyone will agree that as a ministry we were not wrong to create this alliance”.

Meanwhile, Entel’s Manager of Regulation and Corporate Affairs, Manuel Araya, said: “For us, the Mujeres On program has been a real success, allowing us to bring this great community of women entrepreneurs closer to the world of technology and innovation. This virtuous alliance with Sernameg and Emprediem fills us with pride, since it is aligned with our great objective as Entel: to build networks to connect”.
