In June, the Mori Entel National Theater Mori Tour will arrive in La Serena with two free plays: the comedy “Nuestras Mujeres” (in English “Our Women”), starring Willy Semler, Claudio Arredondo and Gonzalo Robles, and the family staging “El Principito” (in English “The Little Prince”).

“Nuestras mujeres” will be presented on June 21 and 22 at the Teatro Municipal de La Serena, while “El Principito” will be presented on June 24 and 25 at the same venue.

The Mori Entel National Theater Tour 2017 returns in June to the Coquimbo Region and the Municipal Theater of La Serena will be the stage that will host it, between June 21 and 25, to present two outstanding stagings that will be performed for free.

One of these will be the comedy “Nuestras mujeres”, starring Willy Semler, Claudio Arredondo and Gonzalo Robles, and directed by Patricio Pimienta, the same director of “Le prenom” and “Bajo terapia (in English “Under Therapy”), plays that this artistic tour has previously presented in the region.

“Nuestras mujeres”, chosen the best comedy in Argentina in 2016, premiered this year in Santiago and, so far, has been a great success. The play revolves around three friends who have gathered for 35 years to eat, play poker and talk about their wives. One night, one of them arrives late and from that moment on, the lives of the three of them change forever.

The performances of this play, which for the first time comes to other regions, will be on Wednesday June 21 and Thursday June 22 at 8:30 pm, and free tickets will be handed out on June 20 and 21 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, at the theater’s box office (maximum 2 tickets per person).

Meanwhile, “The Little Prince”, by the company TeatroArtes and directed by Rolando Valenzuela, will be presented on Saturday June 24 and Sunday June 25 at 12:00 noon. Free tickets will be handed out on June 22 and 23, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, and will also be collected at the Teatro Municipal de La Serena (maximum 4 tickets per person).

Both plays are part of the third version of the Mori Entel National Theater Tour, a project supported by Entel and under the Cultural Donations Law.

“Entel’s goal is to connect people, not only through technology, but also through attractive experiences that we can give them. In this case, through culture and in alliance with Teatro Mori, we can take high quality works to other regions, making tangible our commitment to connect and bring Chileans from all over the country closer to culture, theater and entertainment,” said Rodrigo Solar, Entel’s Corporate Marketing Manager.

[

Meanwhile, the executive director of Centro Mori, Cristóbal Vial, said: “Centro Mori has gradually strengthened its presence in the regions and thanks to Entel we are taking the best of national theater to different parts of the country for the third consecutive year. In two years we have summoned almost twenty thousand people and we continue to work hard in our objective to decentralize culture through quality theater accessible to all audiences”.

This is the second stop of the Teatro Mori Entel 2017 Tour in Chile. In May it visited the Araucanía Region with great success and, after passing through the Coquimbo Region, it will continue on to Valparaíso and Los Lagos.
