During the month of August, the residents of the Antofagasta region enjoyed the productions “Bajo Terapia” and “El gato que le enseñó a volar a una gaviota”, free of charge, at the Municipal Theater of this city, with all performances at a return board.

More than 3,000 people attended, free of charge, the two plays that the Mori Entel National Theater Tour brought to the region of Antofagasta during the first days of August.

The play “Bajo Terapia”, directed by Patricio Pimienta, was presented in two performances on Tuesday, August 2nd and Wednesday, August 3rd, while the family play “El gato que le enseñó a volar a una gaviota” (in English “The cat who taught a seagull to fly”), by the national company Observatorio Popular, filled the auditorium of the Teatro Municipal and made everyone laugh.

Both plays are part of the second edition of the Mori Entel National Theater Tour, a project supported by the telecommunications company and covered by the Cultural Donations Law.

“The reception of the audience in Antofagasta was fantastic. In both performances, the theater was filled with a loving audience. We hope to continue participating in initiatives like this that seek to democratize and decentralize culture” , said Amaya Forch, actress in “Bajo Terapia” (in English “Under Therapy”).

“We are very happy with the reception of both productions in Antofagasta. Our goal is to connect people, and in this case we are doing it by bringing very good quality plays to the regions of our country” , commented Rodrigo Solar, Entel’s Corporate Marketing Manager.

In the same vein, Centro Mori’s Managing Director, Cristóbal Vial, commented: “We were very pleased with the warm reception from the public in Antofagasta, who were very grateful for the opportunity to have access to quality plays for free. Thanks to Entel, Centro Mori was able to bring the best of national theater to the regions in this second version of the tour, which surpassed last year’s attendance, thus closing a successful edition”.
