Last week, the productions “Bajo Terapia” and “Ratón Pérez, al rescate de la infancia” were presented free of charge at the Aula Magna of the Universidad Católica de Temuco.

More than 2,000 people attended the plays that the Mori Entel National Theater Tour Mori Entel took last week, free of charge for the public of the Araucanía Region.

The play “Bajo Terapia (in English “Under Therapy”), directed by Patricio Pimienta, was presented with great success with two performances on Wednesday, May 24 and Thursday, May 25. Meanwhile, the family play “El Ratón Pérez, al rescate de la infancia”, (character who takes the children's teeth, equivalent to the tooth fairy), by the national company Observatorio Popular, made those who attended its two presentations this weekend laugh.

Both plays are part of the third version of the Mori Entel National Theater Tour, a project that is supported by this telecommunications company and is covered by the Cultural Donations Law.

“We are very happy to perform in Temuco, a city that represents the beginning of the national tour of Teatro Mori Entel. I want to thank the people of the city for the warm reception they gave us and for their applause, all of which was really moving,” , said Nicolás Saavedra, actor of “Bajo Terapia”.

[

“We are very happy with the reception that both plays had in La Araucanía. Entel’s goal is to connect people and, in this case, we fulfill it thanks to culture, bringing very good quality plays to the regions of our country”, commented Rodrigo Solar, Entel’s Corporate Marketing Manager.

[

Along the same lines, the executive director of Centro Mori, Cristóbal Vial, commented: “Centro Mori has gradually strengthened its presence in other regions and thanks to Entel we are taking the best of national theater to different parts of the country for the third consecutive year. In two years we have summoned almost twenty thousand people and we continue to work hard in our objective to decentralize culture through quality theater accessible to all audiences”.

The 2017 Mori Entel National Theater Tour will continue its tour to La Serena, Valparaíso and Puerto Montt.
