Like every year, the Entel Marathon of Santiago involves not only those who decide to run, but also the whole city. Thousands of people were present in different parts of the route to give their support and become protagonists of this sports festival.

The African country stole all the attention as it had the winner of the men’s and women’s race. E In the men’s race, Victor Kipchirchir won with a time of 2:11:01, setting a new record for the event. E Meanwhile, the winner of the women’s race was Ogla Kimaiyo, who clocked a time of 02:35:24.
“Santiago is not an easy race, so I am very happy to be here. I will definitely be back here next year,” said Kipchirchir, winner of the 42K, who added: “I am happy to have set a new record in this competition. This victory is dedicated to my 7-year-old son and his mother who are in Kenya.”
Meanwhile, the winner of the 42 kilometers, Ogla Kimaiyo, reflected on her triumph in the competition: “First of all, I want to thank God for allowing me to win the Santiago Marathon because my competitors were very strong. This is my first time in Santiago and although the day was a bit cold, it didn’t affect me because I was able to run in a comfortable temperature. If they invite me to the next one, I would be happy to come”.
Meanwhile, the best Chilean in the 42 km race was, in the men’s race, Eugenio Galaz, with 2:27:35. P On the other hand, Natalia Romero was the best in the women’s category with a time of 2h47’20’’.
