The first one is Burbujas (Bubbles), by Australian artists Atelier Sisu. On this occasion, they will present an inflatable bubble installation 7 meters high, which in 400 square meters will create a unique interactive experience for young and old.

This will be followed by two works by Hecho en Casa Entel.Mascota (Pet) is a 10x8x6 meter scaffolding structure, covered in colorful fabrics, which celebrates the diversity of species that brighten up thousands of homes. The Minister of Culture, Julieta Brodsky, said that “during our administration we have worked hard to reactivate the cultural sector, with the aim of reconnecting citizens with cultural, artistic and heritage activities in person; recovering public spaces through culture; and helping the urgent economic and labor recovery of the various agents that make up the sector. That is why the Festival Hecho en Casa Entel becomes a good example of this reactivation, with its free, inclusive and sustainable urban art interventions, which also brings together the important creations of national and international artists. These days we are celebrating a cultural spring, with various activities and disciplines that fill the territories and the call is to enjoy these creative experiences that invite us to be dazzled and also to reflect”.

Mayor Evelyn Matthei highlighted the festival and said that “we are very happy to receive in Providencia the 2022 version of the Festival Hecho en Casa Entel, especially in the Balmaceda Park, a space that we want to recover after the serious deterioration it suffered after the social outbreak. This type of activities that surprise, beautify and gather hundreds of people, are an opportunity to recover our public spaces, to enjoy them with the family. We believe that this version will not be the exception, since there are really surprising works, such as Burbujas (Bubbles), which I believe will attract the attention of everyone”.

The governor of the Metropolitan Region, Claudio Orrego, pointed out that “the Hecho En Casa Entel festival fills the city with joy, art and culture. It also invites us to meet again in public spaces that belong to all of us. To open art is to open culture and knowledge. We hope that everyone will once again connect with art, in the open air, and be surprised by the novelties of the Festival Hecho En Casa Entel 2022”.

A similar opinion was held by Payo Söchting, artistic director of Bla!, who emphasized that “the festival seeks to be a meeting point in the city, to enjoy new and classic works that invite us to let our imagination fly and celebrate”.

The creative director of Bla!, Felipe Zegers, highlighted the enthusiasm of the entire team and the organization: “We are celebrating, we are back to the public space and we have works that are at the height of what has been Hecho en Casa Entel in all these years, in which national and international artists have been able to present their art and surprise people”.

Sustainability and inclusion

As in its previous versions, the festival maintains the commitment to neutralize the carbon footprint, measuring the impact generated, to then invest in carbon credits that will be destined to an accredited national project. For this reason, a waste management protocol will be implemented in the production of the event and to dematerialize graphic and promotional pieces.

Likewise, in order to ensure the transparency of the processes, the works will be traceable and the waste from the production of the event will be responsibly managed. For this purpose, Stgo. Slow, a consulting firm specializing in sustainability, and the call is for citizens to use public transportation to get to the festival site.
