• “Conectados para Siempre” (in English “Connected forever”) is the campaign that Entel will be carrying out on the beaches of the IV Region this summer, which consists of installing a four-meter steel heart in the city so that everyone can leave a souvenir.

• The initiative asks those who approach the work to hang one of the 2,500 padlocks that will be delivered to the site, as a symbol of unity and connection.

Avenida del Mar in La Serena will never be the same again. Today marks the start of Entel’s “Conectados para Siempre” artistic intervention, which involves the permanent installation of a four-meter-high steel heart in the square.

The aim of this initiative is to allow those who come to see the work to leave a padlock as a symbol of union and connection with people, friends, family, couples and also with the city.

Throughout the month of February, a team will be visiting the beaches and the most representative places in La Serena, handing out 2,500 padlocks through a simple game of affinity that allows people to see how connected they are.

The work, which was also carried out in Pucón, was created by the renowned Chilean artist Matías Vergara Delorenzo, who worked on the project for almost two months.

“This work is very important because, as well as being a contribution to the community, we are able to bring people together around art and culture and leave a lasting memory in the city,” explained Vergara, adding that “this type of initiative also helps to bring art to the regions and improve access to culture”.

Meanwhile, Christian Radich, Entel’s Zone Manager, referred to the implementation of this initiative.

“Our aim is to connect people, whether through our business, sport or music. In this case, we have been able to unite people through culture, so we hope that all the people of La Serena and the surrounding area will be able to enjoy it.” He said.
