Google and Entel signed an alliance to enable the purchase of digital content to Entel’s customers, who have smartphones with Android operating system. This agreement will allow them to access all Google Play content quickly, securely and without the need to use a credit card.
Thanks to this agreement, Entel customers with subscription plans and controlled accounts will be able to access a wide range of applications, games, movies, books, among many other contents and pay for them in their monthly bill. For Entel Pre-Pay customers, the service will be available soon.
With this new system it will also be possible to pay for content subscriptions, on-demand downloads of games and applications, make micro-transactions within the same App -such as “lives”, improvements within the game or application, coins, among others-, and have access to all the tools and entertainment of Google Play, in an easy and accessible way for all Entel Android users.
Entel’s People Market Manager, Matías del Campo, commented: “We are very proud to be the first mobile operator in South America to be able to provide our customers with an inclusive and secure payment method so they can enjoy the best content on Google Play. We want to make available to our clients the infinite possibilities offered by technology and be part of the country’s transformations”.
Flavio Ferreira, Director of Android Platform Partnerships for Latin America, highlighted the value of this alliance for Android users in Chile. “This new payment method adds new options for users, from those who don’t have a credit card to those who don’t want to use it, giving them access to all their favorite content. From today, this agreement will help all of them to enjoy thousands of games, books, songs, movies, series and applications in a faster and safer way through the Google Play platform.”
