Unboxing Innovation

The call seeks that entrepreneurs from different technological areas can approach large companies, closing commercial agreements, participating in a sales academy and accessing cowork spaces, among other benefits.

Until August 4, all startups can register for the open innovation challenge.

Applications are open until August 4 for all startups that want to participate in the first “Unboxing Innovation” challenge, organized by Oracle, iF and Caja Los Andes, where entrepreneurs will have the chance to make a sales pitch to solve challenges of different companies in the national environment, with their business solutions.

Also, throughout the year there will be other calls for applications with challenges in different industries linked to technological areas. In this first edition, Entel is the strategic partner that defines the first challenges for the teams. Then, the startups will have to generate projects adjusted to the requirements proposed by the company.

The technology and telecommunications company, Entel, is inviting entrepreneurs to solve two challenges. The first is “Smartbuilding”, which aims to find a service model that allows the operation of buildings and warehouses for business customers, especially through IoT technology. The second is the creation of “onboarding”, which enables the company’s products and services to its customers and allows them to intuitively understand the service agreement or the product purchased.

“It’s been years since Entel decided to open our challenges and problems for startups to help us find innovative solutions. The ‘Unboxing Innovation’ challenge is a new step in the path of open innovation that we joined in 2017. It is an initiative that enhances the synergy of joint work between digital entrepreneurs, supported by Entel’s strategic partners, such as Oracle, and at the same time enables new spaces in the innovation ecosystem in the country, such as those promoted in this case by Caja de Los Andes and iF. We are confident in the ideas and solutions that will come to provide answers to Entel’s challenges in terms of ‘Onboarding’ and ‘Smartbuilding’", commented Entel’s Corporate Innovation Manager, Carlos Rodríguez.

In turn, “Unboxing Innovation” consists of six stages: call, selection, bootcamp, pre-demoday, demoday and closing. In these phases, projects will be filtered until the five best projects are selected, which will present their solutions to a commission that will include the organizers of the challenge and the invited company, thus defining the quality of each proposal.

To participate, all you have to do is register at unboxinginnovation.cl, a form that is available and will remain open until 23:59 on August 4.

Finally, the initiative seeks to help entrepreneurs in the technology area in different aspects: they can approach large companies to reach commercial agreements, participate in a sales academy and access spaces in the cowork, among other benefits.
