Zero Waste and Green Latin America Awards:

“Entel Reutiliza” is an important sustainability initiative that in its third version in 2022 managed to collect more than 11,500 electronic devices in disuse in Chile, which made it possible for 1,017 reconditioned devices to be donated to schools in vulnerable contexts.


The impact of this initiative, which is promoted by the technology and telecommunications company Kyklos and the Centro Inclusivo del Reciclaje (in English Inclusive Recycling Center) (CiR), and which seeks to reduce the digital divide through the reuse of unused electronic devices to give them a second life, is already recognized not only nationally, but also internationally.


It won the Social Impact category of the fourth version of the Zero Waste Awards organized by EcoLogica, from among more than 100 entries..


The Zero Waste Awards seek to highlight those initiatives that promote the circular economy and are changing waste management in Chile. In particular, the Social Impact category aims to highlight projects focused on reducing the volume of waste in landfills and promoting their recovery.


In addition, “Entel Reutiliza” (in English “Entel Re-uses”) was selected among the 500 finalists of the Latin America Green Awards, in the Circular Economy category. This pioneering sustainability contest, in which more than 3 thousand organizations from 33 countries applied, is one of the most relevant in the world in its field.
