Entel’s Cybersecurity Manager, Antonio Moreno, said: ”The digitalization of companies poses significant challenges in terms of security, where defining a security strategy at the corporate level is essential for the sustainability of businesses in the digital era. If we also consider that during 2016, 89% of the attacks had financial or espionage objectives and more than a third of the organizations that have suffered a cyberattack report a substantial loss of customers, opportunities and revenues of more than 20%, it is essential to develop a security culture within companies and institutions that takes charge of this reality. This is what we want to achieve with Entel Cyber Secure”.

The launch event was attended by Kevin Mitnick, one of the most famous American hackers in history, who was wanted by the FBI for having hacked 40 of the world’s largest companies. He is currently a respected consultant on cybersecurity issues, advising Fortune 500 companies and governments around the world.

In his presentation, entitled “The Art of Deception: How hackers manipulate us and what we can do about it”, the computer security consultant showed the different tools and techniques used by hackers to compromise the security of companies, consumers and government institutions. He also emphasized the human factor and the importance of creating a security culture and raising awareness among company employees.

Meanwhile, in his presentation, the Cybersecurity Manager of Entel Corporations, Antonio Moreno, referred to the challenges of security and privacy of information in the digital enterprise, with special emphasis on regulations and standards, changes in technological paradigms and increased demands from consumers and employees to companies, due to the digitization of organizations, and what are the main transformational trends globally to meet these challenges.
