Once again, the technology and telecommunications company Entel has been highlighted for the quality of service perceived by consumers in Chile, winning first place in six of the seven categories measured by Opensignal, the renowned independent company of studies on mobile connectivity in the world. These are: “4G Availability” (4G service availability), “4G Coverage Experience” (Coverage Experience), “Download Speed Experience” (download speed experience), “Upload Speed Experience” (upload speed experience) and “Latency Experience” (perceived latency) and a new category included in the study “Voice App Experience”.

In its first report of 2020, Opensignal highlighted that 4G networks in Chile are on the rise, with an availability of more than 80%, as reported by its users.

Voice App Experience: The best call experience in apps, without call quality problems, such as clicking or distortion sounds, and high volume that allows listening clearly, is what this new category of the report measures. Here, Entel obtained first place, with 76.6 points.
4G Availability: According to the report, Entel users had access to 4G technology 85.8% of the time, making it the Chilean operator with the highest 4G availability at the national level.
4G Coverage Experience: According to the report, Entel users obtained a score of 7.9 in 4G signal quality, on a scale of 1 to 10, making it the Chilean operator with the best 4G network quality.
Download Speed Experience: Regarding this category, Opensignal stated that during the last year all operators improved in download and upload speeds, with Entel being superior, which on average reaches 18 Mbps.
Upload Speed Experience: The report highlighted Entel’s consolidation in this category, which showed that its customers were able to connect at average upload speeds of 9.7 Mbps, two points faster than in the last measurement.
Latency Experience: This is the fifth consecutive time that Entel leads in this category, which in Opensignal’s opinion is increasingly relevant in the customer’s experience because it means that web pages and videos load faster and real-time communication Apps and online games experience less delay time. In this category, Entel obtained the best Latency Experience score with 40.8 milliseconds.
