According to the latest report by OpenSignal, a global company specialized in the analysis and measurement of the quality of mobile networks, Entel was the winner in 11 of the 16 categories measured and obtained the best performance in mobile networks in the country. In the Voice OTT Application Experience category, it shared first place with another operator. All this, based on tests conducted throughout Chile between November 2022 and January 2023.
This report is based on real measurements of mobile users who downloaded the OpenSignal application on their devices. The company based the report on four main dimensions:
Average or Overall experience: Entel scored best in three out of five categories.
5G experience: Entel won in all areas.
Coverage: Entel was recognized in one of the four categories.
Consistency: The company excelled in both categories.
“These results are a source of great pride for us because they reflect the daily work, and permanent investment, we make to offer the best network and navigation experience to our customers in all mobile technologies that are already available in the country”, said Entel’s Manager of Regulation and Corporate Affairs, Manuel Araya.
The report on 5G networks
For the second consecutive year, an analysis of the 5G experience was included. The categories measured were Video experience (0-100); Gaming experience (0-100); Voice application experience (0-100); Download speed (Mbps); and 5G upload speed (Mbps). In all five categories, Entel was the winner, thus confirming its position as the company that provides the best and fastest service in Chile in fifth-generation networks.
“We completed 100% of the first stage of 5G deployment before the deadline required by the authorities, we already exceeded one million connected customers and most of the terminals we sell have access to this network. This imposes an important challenge for us to maintain the quality of our services, as it is evident that people are very interested in accessing this new technology and its multiple benefits”, explained Manuel Araya.
Finally, the OpenSignal report highlights that Entel users have the most consistent experience in Chile. The technology and telecommunications company was recognized for 4G Coverage Experience, Excellent Quality Consistency and Core Quality Consistency.
