Prices could be less than half of what the industry offers today:

• According to studies, advanced telephony service continues to play an important role in companies in this segment, but it is a distant option due to its cost. In addition, they estimate that two out of three SMEs do not know how much they pay for each line they have.

According to studies conducted by Entel and Gfk, the professional fixed telephony service continues to play a fundamental role in the development of companies, although SMEs still see it as a distant option, especially because of its high investment and maintenance cost.

On the other hand, small and medium-sized companies have little knowledge of the offers currently available on the market, as well as the services they have contracted. In fact, it is estimated that two out of every three SMEs that have a landline telephone agreement do not really know how much they pay for each line or how many minutes they have available for monthly use.

To address this reality and the challenge of facilitating SMEs’ access to technology, Entel Empresas launched its new Virtual Business Platform, which promises to generate a substantive change in the democratization of fixed telephony service in this segment.

This new platform was designed especially for small and medium-sized companies seeking advanced, high-quality telephony service, together with high-speed Internet for professional use, at the best price on the market.

To achieve this, the entire offer includes unlimited minutes to mobile and fixed networks, avoiding additional charges, together with the possibility of connecting through a virtual PBX to a larger number of collaborators in one or more branches, without the need to make an initial investment or assume maintenance costs.

In addition, this new platform offers symmetrical broadband service (equal data download and upload speeds), according to the company’s needs, which allows the rapid transfer of large amounts of data, sending and receiving files without losing speed and optimizing work times.

This is how each SME will be able to access a personalized service tailored to its needs, being the customer himself who will decide the type of internet he wants to contract and the speed he needs for his company, as well as the number of lines and teams, paying exactly for what he requires, at a flat monthly rate.

According to Tomás Fernández, Entel’s SME Market Assistant Manager, with this offer “we seek to democratize a quality service designed especially for SMEs, offering the lowest professional telephony prices on the market. One of our missions is to be more than a telecommunications service provider: to be a strategic partner that helps companies in their digitalization process”.

[

Fernández explained that they plan to improve access to these services in the SME segment. “The industry was offering plans above the right price for SMEs, so we decided to launch this new commercial offer, designed especially to meet the needs of this segment and increase access to this service. With this, companies will be able to access plans with a telephony rate up to 50% lower regarding the current offer in the market”, said the Entel Empresas executive.

In this regard, it is important to consider that, according to data from the Undersecretary of Telecommunications, mobile telephony portability almost quadrupled in the last three years, from 5.7% in 2014 to 19.6% in 2017. Meanwhile, the rate in fixed telephony at a general level (considering households and companies) has remained at around 4%, to which Entel is betting to give dynamism with its new offer.
