In order to strengthen its service offer in the home segment, Entel launched its new product Internet Fijo Hogar over the 4G network, which permits a better experience and delivers a higher data download speed compared to other similar products.
The initial offer considers plans of 30 GB and 60 GB, for CLP 17,990 and CLP 29,990 respectively, with download speeds of up to 10 Mbps.
According to the manager of Entel Hogar, Jorge Bascur, with this new service “it has never been so easy to have fixed Internet at home. We have already made a revolution in fixed telephony service, and now we will do the same with Internet, which is the service for which there is still the greatest demand in the residential segment. With this, we are delivering a highly competitive product that satisfies families need for connectivity. Very importantly, we are offering alternatives for access to this service to customers who, due to duct and cable access restrictions in their buildings or condominiums, could not choose among different alternatives. Our technology is injecting competition into a market that still has many sectors without services and areas that can only access a single operator”
Considering that the new 4G Fixed Home Internet is a wireless service and only requires that the home has access to the 4G network, the traditional wiring of fixed Internet services is not needed and only an electrical connection is required. In addition, the user can install it directly, allowing to take out the service in an agile way, without the need to schedule visits with technicians in the field. Likewise, up to 10 devices can be connected at the same time (computer, tablet, television or other terminal), without losing connection quality.
The service will initially be available in the Valparaíso, Biobío and Metropolitan regions, and is offered through the web, company-owned stores and large stores.
The executive stressed that it is important that users verify the feasibility of access to the 4G network in their homes, which can be done in all Entel stores or by calling 800 361 400. Although this product has wireless technology, it is a fixed service for use in the home, since if it is moved away from the home it will stop working, and can only be used correctly in areas with 4G coverage defined for the product.
