Entel announced on Wednesday the placement of bonds in the Chilean market for 2 million Unidades de Fomento (UF 2,000,000), equivalent to US$ 80 million. The funds obtained will be used to refinance financial liabilities and for other corporate purposes.
“This operation allows us to refinance our short-term maturities and maintain a solid financial position with a signal of market support for our value proposition” , said Marcelo Bermúdez, Entel´s CFO.
The bond placement had the participation of Scotiabank, Banchile and Bice Inversiones as financial advisors.
The company explained that the bonds placed correspond to two series: Series R for an amount of 1 million Unidades de Fomento (UF 1,000,000), maturing on April 10, 2030, and an effective placement rate of 3.39%; and Series S for an amount of 1 million Unidades de Fomento (UF 1,000,000), maturing on April 10, 2034, and an effective placement rate of 3.69%.
