To continue revolutionizing the world of 5G connection, Entel announced the launch of a new service that directly impacts the gamer experience. It is “Cloud Gaming Fuze Forge”, the first service in Chile in conjunction with a technology and telecommunications company, which allows gaming and streaming seamlessly in real time, and in a fully connected ecosystem.
The technology and telecommunications company pointed out that this alliance is a tangible example of the operability of the 5G network, since it is a gaming cloud that does not require technological infrastructure such as hardware/Console/PC Gamer, to be able to use the games from any place or device.
This new proposal evidences the new potential of 5G, leaving a step behind 4G streaming, where you had to pre-record the path of the games and give the explanations of the adventure, while editing the video in front of the computer screen.
Entel’s Mobile Market Manager, Felipe Valenzuela, pointed out that with this service Entel is once again at the forefront of the industry, since “it allows people to try a new experience of a connected ecosystem, this time through gaming. Online video games are no longer just entertainment and we have seen how they contain important tools to optimize education, for children and young people to acquire knowledge about various areas in a didactic way, in addition to developing digital literacy skills. In this way, technology will continue present in our different daily activities and will be fundamental for the technological revolution”.
Isabel Figueroa, Country Manager of Digital Virgo commented that “The Chilean cloud gaming market is experiencing rapid growth, driven by a strong gaming culture and growing access to high-speed Internet. This partnership with Entel is a great step forward in bringing the best cloud gaming experience to gamers across Chile.”
From Entel they explained that for gamers mobility plays an important role, since before 5G the user of a Cloud Gaming solution was limited to playing only at home, or near a router/modem, given that the available data connections (3G and 4G) were not powerful and fast enough to enable this experience. Today 5G, with its advantages in bandwidth and low latency, enables a high-quality gamer experience on a mobile device.
About 5G
The main characteristics of 5G are its low latency and higher speed, which will enable the implementation of use cases such as IoT, artificial intelligence, data analytics, automation and robotization, among others. In addition, this technology allows a huge amount of devices connected to each other, enabling devices to send data over the Internet and interact quickly, securely and intelligently, of course in a way that reinforces the privacy and cybersecurity so necessary today.
